Something for Appa! A tribute to Kim Nam Gil for his anniversary in the miltary

It’s been a year since Kim Nam Gil was draft in the military due to a mandatory duty, not as an actor but as a responsible civilian of Korea. He has to serve his nation for two years away from the lights, cameras, and even from stardom. He unreservedly accept those responsibilities for his beloved country, not to mention that he was at the peak of his career when he send-off from the showbiz industry. That’s why I’m very proud of him!

I’ve never been an emotional person when it comes to goodbyes, for I believe that they will be coming back and see each other again. But during that time, when Kim Nam Gil uttered his last words to his fans, (“You will wait for me right?”) I just don’t know why I shed tears. I am sad… very sad! It’s as if I’m losing someone so dear to me. He may be just an icon whom I used to see on my television, amazed by his acting skills, and smitten by his good stance. But I miss those things, I miss him a lot.  Kim Nam Gil is like an everyday routine for me. Seeing him on my tv screen was like eating my meal three times a day. I may not know him personally, but I believe that he was a good man and I have such a foothold idea until my last breath. I know that all his sons and daughters (fans) felt 

the same way as I am.

Kim Nam Gil made a surprise visit to the set of the drama "Greatest Love"

after the revelation of Kim Nam Gil's brief photo appearance in the drama greatest love, it was later found out that Kim Nam Gil actually visited the shooting site of popular drama "The Greatest Love" that ended recently.A staff on site said, "Kim Nam Gil  made a surprise visit to the last shooting site. Many of the staff were happy to see him on such short notice". This visit happened because of his connection with director Park Hong-gyoon since "Queen Seon-deok" and many of the staff here this day were also on the drama set.Kim Nam-gil had visited them in means of support. It was also a careful one because he isn't an active but a public service soldier.

Meanwhile, he also appeared as Cha Seung-won's rival on the first and last episodes. The fighting scene from "Queen Seon-deok" was shown and in the last episode his face was on the label of the drink Dok Go-jin used to advertise that brought laughter to the audience.

Kim Nam Gil's brief photo appearance in the drama "Greatest Love"

in the June 23 (final) broadcast of MBC drama "Greatest Love", Dokko Jin (Cha Seung Won) finally confessed his love to Gu Ae-jung (Gong Hyo-jin). Due to that shocking revelation, Dokko Jin's popularity dropped .But Jin stated that he is not particularly worried about the loss of CF's, because his next movie should attract a new wave of them. But he was shocked after he heared that all his movie offers are gone as well. And Jin’s jealousy spikes to hear that his Cannes movie will now go to that actor Kim Joon-sung.

and guess who is that Kim Joon Sang who turned out as replacement for Dokko Jin??

Kim Nam Gil the "Biker Bidam"

an article from Dispatch stated that, Kim Nam Gil was spotted  near his office at Gangnam-gu directing on his way home as a usual worker. He seemed to get out from work (around 6:00 p.m). Unlike from his star boyish appearance,Kim Nam Gil was spotted riding on a bicycle along the roadside,as means of his transportation. He also stopped in a convenient store to have some energy drink ,and then rode the bike again.
